Sõstrapõõsad on tühjaks korjatud, isu on täis söödud ja moosid-mahlad salves. Tavaliselt kasutan mannavahu valmistamiseks mahla, aga seekord oli laual kausitäis värskeid marju.
Niisiis marjad keema (marjad lähevad potti koos vartega), seejärel mahl nõrutada ja edasi toimida nagu mahlagi puhul.
Mannavahu valmistamiseks kasutasin Kivisaare Veski täistera-nisumannat, tulemus jäi täistera jahule omaselt sõmeram, kuid töötas samaväärselt tavalise nisumannaga. Väga mõnus nostalgiline magustoit!

4 sööjale
300 g punaseid sõstraid
1 l vett
1 dl suhkrut
2 dl mannat
serveerimiseks piima
Pane puhastamata marjad vähese veega potti ja kuumuta kuni marjad on pehmed, umbes 5 minutit. Nõruta marjad läbi sõela. Lisa mahlale suhkur ja kuumuta keemiseni. Sõrista hulka manna, keeda 15 minutit kuni manna on paisunud. Lase jahtuda. Jahtunud mannavaht vahusta kohevaks. Serveeri piimaga.
